Accomplishments
In addition to its superior programs run within communities, New Creations Community Outreach has provided leadership in faith-based prisoner reentry on a national level. It has:
- Trained mentors for other organizations in 25 cities and 18 states
- Established a national database of more than 3,000 faith-based prisoner reentry service providers
- Become globally recognized as a leading organization in the field of prisoner reentry by the U.S. Justice Department
- Hosted five national faith-based prisoner reentry conferences since October 2002. These events were attended by more than 1,200 participants from 44 states, who received advanced instruction in working with returning ex-prisoners and their families
- Provided assistance in program design and development to prisoner reentry leaders across the country and in several foreign countries
- Established Christian Association for Prison Aftercare, a national association of faith-based prison aftercare providers
- In collaboration with Resiliency Without Compromise, created the Children Having a Mind to Pursue Success program, or CHAMPS, a program designed to assist prisoners' children
